Interpreting the map
Each circle represents the total number of households in a Philadelphia Census Tract, with larger circles indicating tracts with more households. The color of each circle reflects the predominant income bracket within that tract.
Areas where most household incomes are under $25K
In these Census Tracts, the predominant household income is less than $25,000. These tracts are concentrated along the Northeast and Southwest sections of the City.
Areas where most household incomes are between $25K and $99.9K
In these Census Tracts, the predominant household income brackets are $25,000 to $49,999 and $50,000 to $99,999. Residents in these neighborhoods live closer to the suburbs.
Areas where most household incomes are $100K or more
In these Census Tracts, the predominant household income is $100,000 or more. The highest concentration of households making $100,000 or more live in downtown Philadelphia.
